For LOVE THY NATURE, we designed and implemented a screenings campaign of over 250 events at college campuses, conferences, nature trusts, regional/national parks, community groups and theaters. We managed the grassroots engagement campaign to conservation groups, outdoor education centers, faith and environmental communities to support screening events and partners and booked all speaking appearances by the filmmakers. We secured and managed partnerships with several groups including the Green Festival, Bioneers and the National Park Service to support the publicity and outreach campaign. Designed distribution strategy and worked closely with theatrical and educational distributors to manage all aspects of screenings, outreach and bookings.
Synopsis:
Narrated by Liam Neeson, Love Thy Nature points to how deeply we’ve lost touch with nature – and takes viewers on a cinematic journey through the beauty and intimacy of our relationship with the natural world.
Neeson is the voice of “Sapiens” (our collective humankind) who, in the past few hundred years, has come to believe that we have transcended nature. Yet, experts uncover how a new era of nature-connection might soon be dawning: “Biomimicry” scientists look to the natural world for the most brilliant inventions, social ecologists unveil how nature restores our communities, and doctors are finding new ways in which nature heals the body, mind, and brain.
The winner of 27 awards, Love Thy Nature soothes our urban angst with the dazzling spectacles of our world, while showing that a renewed connection with nature is key to our personal health and the health of our planet. And Sapiens’ journey reveals how a relationship with nature ignites a sense of meaning and wonder so profound that it touches us at the very core of what it means to be human.
